The fourth round of nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington began on Sunday in Oman, according to Iranian state media reports.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that contradictory U.S. positions are among the serious challenges facing the talks, emphasizing that Iran has provided assurances to the U.S. that its nuclear program will remain peaceful.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry also announced that Iran is seeking the removal of sanctions imposed on it and aims to secure its right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes during negotiations with the United States.
Additionally, a senior Iranian official revealed earlier in the day that Tehran has already started preparing for a potential "failure" of nuclear talks with Washington, accusing the U.S. of lacking seriousness and intentionally escalating tensions.
