Iraqi Faces Prison Sentence in the U.S. for Alleged Election Fraud Against Trump.

U.S. authorities have charged an Iraqi man named Aqeel Abdul Jameel with illegal voting, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison, after he allegedly cast a ballot in the 2020 presidential election despite not holding U.S. citizenship.

According to a report by the New York Post, Abdul Jameel, 45, was residing in South Glens Falls, New York, at the time of the offense. He registered to vote with the Conservative Party one month before the election and was later identified as a supporter of former President Trump. His illegal vote has fueled suspicions often raised by Trump regarding election fraud.

The report added that, despite the charges, Abdul Jameel has not been arrested yet, claiming he has been outside the U.S. "for a very long time." He alleged that "someone else may have used his social security number and identity to commit the crimes."

Abdul Jameel stated, "If I voted, they must have sent me a ballot. I left the United States years ago."

According to the report, Abdul Jameel faces charges of alien voting, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.

Acting District Attorney John Sarcone described Abdul Jameel's actions as "brazen and illegal," emphasizing the Justice Department's commitment to prosecuting any attempts to undermine the integrity of the electoral process.
