Lebanese President: Weapons Are Exclusively Under State Control and We Will Not Return to the Language of War.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun affirmed that the decision to restrict weapons to the control of the Lebanese state has been made, and there is no longer any room for a return to the "language of war," as he described it.

In statements reported by Lebanese media, Aoun said, "The state has begun implementing necessary reforms, and they will be completed." He emphasized that "these reforms are a Lebanese necessity before being an external demand," adding that "focusing on combating corruption is a fundamental part of the reform process, aimed at serving citizens and strengthening public order."

The Lebanese president revealed the formation of joint Lebanese Syrian committees to address unresolved issues between the two countries, including demarcating land and maritime borders and addressing the situation of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, who are there for economic reasons.

He also stressed that municipal elections will be held on schedule, noting that the state's role will be limited to ensuring the security and administrative conduct of the electoral process, while it is up to the Lebanese people alone to choose their representatives in municipal and local councils.
