Iraq and Iran Agree to Strengthen Coordination in Addressing Regional and International Developments.

President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, agreed on Friday to enhance coordination in dealing with regional and international developments.

According to a statement from the Iraqi Presidency, President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a phone call today. They explored ways to develop cooperation in various mutually beneficial areas, serving the interests of both peoples and promoting security and stability in the region.

The statement added that the two leaders addressed several regional and international issues during the conversation, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and constructive dialogue to confront shared challenges and strengthen the foundations of development and stability.

Furthermore, they agreed to activate coordination in addressing regional and international developments, contributing to political stability and reducing tensions in the region.
