Saudi Arabia is hosting the third round of ceasefire talks in Ukraine, which include two separate meetings: the first between the United States and Ukraine, followed by a meeting between the United States and Russia.
These meetings of the third round will be conducted at technical and specialized committee levels.
In previous discussions, significant political breakthroughs were made in resolving the crisis—both between Ukraine and Russia regarding a temporary ceasefire and between Ukraine and its supporter, the United States, to bridge the gap and restore U.S. support for Ukraine, which had stopped following the return of the Trump administration.
The atmosphere of the talks is optimistic about achieving tangible progress, particularly concerning a ceasefire in the Black Sea affecting ships between Russia and Ukraine. The discussions are expected to later focus on reaching a comprehensive ceasefire agreement.
