Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received the President of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, on Saturday to discuss key national issues and monitor the implementation of the government program across various sectors and fields.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani highlighted the importance of proceeding with the implementation of joint agreements, especially in light of the recent amendment to the Federal General Budget Law passed by the Parliament. He emphasized that these efforts serve the national interest, strengthen the Iraqi economy, and meet the needs of the citizens. He also stressed the need for oil companies in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to resume oil production and export it through the Ceyhan port in Turkey.
In response, Mr. Barzani confirmed the ongoing communication and cooperation with the federal government to ensure high-level coordination in all service and economic aspects within the framework of development, service provision, and stability consolidation.
