El-Sisi and Abdullah II Affirm: No Displacement of the Palestinian People.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein emphasized the importance of immediately starting the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip without displacing the Palestinian people from their land.

Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawi said that El-Sisi received a phone call from Abdullah II, during which they affirmed the strength and robustness of the relations between the two brotherly countries. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to mutual coordination on all regional issues in the interest of the Egyptian and Jordanian peoples and in support of the interests of all Arab peoples.

The spokesman added that the call focused significantly on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. The two leaders stressed the unity of the Egyptian and Jordanian positions, including the need for the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, the continuation of the release of hostages and detainees, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid deliveries as part of efforts to end the humanitarian suffering in the region.

The two leaders emphasized the importance of immediately starting the reconstruction process in Gaza without displacing the Palestinian people from their land. They also called for an end to the practices of the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians in the West Bank.

The spokesman confirmed that the leaders expressed their keen cooperation with U.S. President Trump to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East and lead a path towards this long-awaited goal, establishing a Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with relevant UN resolutions, and ensuring peaceful coexistence among all peoples in the region.

The spokesman explained that the leaders discussed ways to enhance coordination and consultation among Arab countries and the preparations for the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held in Egypt on February 27, aiming to meet the aspirations of the peoples in the region for peace, stability, and prosperity.
