King Abdullah II of Jordan, following his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, announced that Jordan will receive 2,000 sick Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip.
The King of Jordan added that his country believes there is a way to bring peace and prosperity to the region, and he noted, "We must wait to see a plan from Egypt.
King Abdullah mentioned that there would be responses from several countries to Trump's proposal regarding Gaza.
President Trump stated that he believes there will be parcels of land in Jordan and Egypt where Palestinians can live.
Trump added that "the development of Gaza, which will happen a long time from now, will bring many jobs to the region.
Trump had proposed his plan regarding the Gaza Strip, which includes relocating its residents to Egypt and Jordan before its reconstruction and having the United States "own" it.
On Tuesday, Trump said that it is possible to withhold aid to Jordan and Egypt if they do not accept Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip, expressing confidence that Jordan would receive the displaced from Gaza.
