Khamenei Attacks Washington: Negotiations with You Are Not Honorable.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei attacked the United States on Friday, asserting that negotiations with Washington are neither "smart, wise, nor honorable.

During a meeting with Air Force leaders in the army, Khamenei stated that "there should be no negotiations with such a government," pointing out that "negotiations with the United States will not solve the country's problems.

Khamenei continued, "We must understand the matter correctly... They should not claim that if we sit at the negotiation table with this (American) government, problems will be solved," asserting that "no problem will be solved by negotiating with America.

He explained that "in the 1990s, we sat and negotiated with the United States, and a treaty was reached that lasted for almost two years. Naturally, it was not just America alone; there were several other countries as well, but the main axis was America.

Khamenei added, "Our government met and negotiated—the government of that day—they went, came, sat, stood, negotiated, talked, laughed, shook hands, made friends, and everyone worked, and a treaty was reached.

He pointed out that "in that treaty, the Iranian side was very generous," confirming that Tehran made many concessions to the other side, "but the Americans did not implement the treaty itself.

He clarified that "Trump, who is now in power, is the one who tore up that treaty," noting that "Trump said he would tear it up, and he did; they did not act.

Khamenei indicated that the previous U.S. administration did not lift sanctions on Tehran.

He concluded by saying, "This is another experience; let us use this experience. We made concessions, negotiated, made concessions, and reached compromises, but we did not achieve the result we aimed for. The other side destroyed, violated, and tore up this same treaty, with all its flaws."
