Iraq Aims to Increase Oil Production to 7 Million Barrels per Day Within Five Years.

On Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Oil, Ali Maarij, stated that the ministry aims to increase oil production to around 7 million barrels per day over the next five years.

In his speech at the "Iraq Energy" conference, Maarij mentioned that one of the main goals of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil revolves around increasing production capacity, which is expected to reach 7 million barrels per day within the next five years.

He also noted that the ministry aims to treat gas and achieve zero percent flaring of associated natural gas, as well as halt the import of petroleum derivatives in the upcoming period.
