U.S. President Donald Trump announced via his social platform "Truth Social" the beginning of a wide-scale dismissal process for presidential appointees from the previous administration.
In his post, which comes on his first day back in the White House, Trump explained that the Presidential Personnel Office is currently identifying and dismissing over a thousand appointees in positions of responsibility.
Trump stated that this step is being taken "due to these officials not aligning with his vision," which aims to "Make America Great Again.
In the same post, the U.S. President announced the dismissal of four officials as the first batch: José Andrés from the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition; Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars; and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President's Export Council.
Trump emphasized that more dismissal decisions will be issued soon as part of his efforts to reshape senior administrative positions in line with the directions and vision of his new administration.
