Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani expressed on Saturday his rejection of any attempts to link the political situation in Syria with Iraq, emphasizing that there is "no room to discuss changing the political system in the country.
In a speech delivered during the commemoration of "Iraqi Martyr's Day," Sudani said, "There are those who tried to link the change in Syria with the discussion of changing the political system in Iraq, which is something that is not up for discussion.
He added, "We have a democratic and pluralistic system that includes everyone, ensures the peaceful transfer of power, and allows for reform and correction of flaws under the constitution and the law.
Sudani stressed that "no one has the right to impose change and reform on us in any file, whether economic or security-related, while acknowledging the need for a reform process in various sectors.
