The Turkish Statistical Institute announced on Tuesday that Iraq ranked fifth among the countries importing the most from Turkey in November.
The institute stated that "Turkey's exports for November amounted to 22.289 billion dollars, down by 3.1%, while imports reached 29.748 billion dollars compared to the same period in 2023.
It added, "Germany is the main partner country for exports with 1.682 billion dollars, followed by the United States with 1.470 billion dollars and the United Kingdom with 1.390 billion dollars.
"Italy came in fourth with 1.213 billion dollars, and Iraq was fifth with 1.087 billion dollars.
The percentage of the top five countries in total Turkish exports was 30.7% in October 2024.
Iraq imports most of its goods and foodstuffs from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, and to a lesser extent from the Gulf countries and Jordan.
