Sunnis and Shiites, Chaldeans and Knanissis
Arabs, Kurds, and Turkmen are the image of light.
Yazidis and Mandaeans in the land of prophets
Assyrians, Syriacs, and great Armenians
Today we declare it the year of hope.
We establish in our hearts a plan of action.
We create solidarity and cooperation for generations.
We build a prosperous future without fear or tragedy.
Blessings in us and our year of goodness
Lifting from our Iraq the ordeal and bitterness
Making our land a light and beacon
Work and science build the architecture.
For we are its name, the people of Iraq.
And we proceed with justice, not discord.
Hand in hand we raise the status of the nation.
We protect the borders and defeat all strife.
Every year, you are in goodness and honor.
O people of Iraq,
The path is illuminated by us, for we are hope.
