Al-Sudani: We Will Not Interfere in the Affairs in Syria or Be Part of Undermining Its Security.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stated that the deposed President Bashar Al-Assad's regime did not request Iraq's military intervention, clarifying that Maher Al-Assad did not enter Iraq after the regime's fall.

He emphasized that Iraq will not allow the entry of weapons and armed groups from Syria, stressing the importance of coordination with Syria to secure the borders.

Al-Sudani pointed out that the Iraqi government and political forces agree on not interfering in Syria's affairs, saying, "We will not be part of undermining its security." He added, Circumstances will determine the possibility of a special visit to Syria.

He also affirmed respect for the will of the Syrian people and the aspiration for a comprehensive political process. Al-Sudani also declared :We have informed the administration in Syria of our vision regarding the current situation. Any disruption in Syrian prisons will push us to confront terrorism.

In this context, Al-Sudani explained that Israeli threats to Iraq aim to expand the conflict zone, stressing that "Iraq will not allow any party to drag it into conflicts and wars. We have the decision of war and peace.

He also confirmed his country's rejection of the genocide war pursued by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon.

On internal matters, Al-Sudani said that "limiting weapons to the state is part of the government program, and we are working with political forces to implement it." He continued, "We are working on a clear path and responsible national dialogue to limit weapons to the state.

Al-Sudani stated, "We will get rid of Iranian and American pressures when others get rid of the phobia of Tehran and Washington." He added, "Our relationship with America is strategic and a clear partnership. America led the international coalition against terrorism, and we defeated ISIS with the support of our brothers and friends.

Al-Sudani added, "We have institutional relations with Washington, and there is a convergence of views. We conducted a professional dialogue with the international coalition to assess the capabilities of ISIS and the security forces.

He noted that "a systematic study was reached regarding the end of the international coalition's presence according to a specific timetable," pointing out that "there is no increase in the number of international coalition forces in Iraq, and what is being said is not true.

Al-Sudani highlighted that "everyone followed the impacts of regional tensions on the world in the previous phase."
