The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar Al-Hakim, discussed with the head of the Babylon Parliamentary Bloc, Aswan Al-Kildani, the political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as the general situation of the Christian community.
A statement from Al-Hakim's office, received by "Al-Awla," mentioned that Al-Hakim "reiterated during his meeting with the head of the Babylon Parliamentary Bloc, Aswan Al-Kildani, the head of the Christian Endowment Office, and the head of the Babylon Bloc in the Baghdad Provincial Council, along with several bloc members, the importance of the diversity that God has blessed our dear country with and the necessity of managing and investing in it to bridge relations with the world.
Al-Hakim emphasized "the importance of the unity of all components, especially the Christian component, as a necessary prelude to Iraq's unity and stability.
He also stressed that "maintaining and enhancing the current stability to turn it into permanent stability is a collective responsibility that everyone must work on.
He highlighted "the need to fortify the internal front and maintain high readiness of our security forces to face regional repercussions.
Regarding the Syrian issue, Al-Hakim emphasized "the necessity of stabilizing the situation and enabling the Syrian people to manage their country while ensuring the protection of all its components and guaranteeing their participation in the political decision-making process."
