The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its solidarity with the government and people of Germany following the Christmas market incident on Saturday.
The ministry stated, "We strongly condemn the tragic ramming incident at the Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
It affirmed its "full solidarity with the friendly government and people of Germany in facing this tragic incident," emphasizing Iraq's "firm stance against violence and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
The ministry extended its deepest condolences and sympathy "to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
