The Higher Judicial Council participated in the eleventh scientific and third international conference of the Social Studies Department held at Beit Al-Hikma in Iraq.

The media center of the Higher Judicial Council stated that "the conference was attended by the public prosecutor, Mr. Najm Abdullah, and the judicial supervisor, Judge Nasser Imran, and it lasted for two days, from December 11-12, 2024, to discuss migration, asylum, and humanitarian challenges between international responsibility and national obligations, under the slogan Sustainable Solutions and Societal Policies for Migration and Asylum Governance.

It added that "Judge Nasser Imran, representing the Higher Judicial Council, discussed the Council's vision on the topic of migration and residence in the first scientific session that started on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, noting that the Higher Judicial Council presented four research papers at the conference: The Impact of Illegal Migration on the Growth of Human Trafficking, Media Treatment of Illegal Migration, Digital Smuggling of Migrants, and the Role of Regional Judiciary in Confronting Crimes Committed by Migrants.
