Sources reported today, Wednesday, that the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Faramarz Asadi as its new consul in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
The sources mentioned that Asadi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi before leaving Tehran to begin his duties in the Kurdistan Region, replacing the former consul Nasrallah Rashnoudi.
Additionally, the new Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil presented a report to Araghchi about his plans related to his new diplomatic duties.
