The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, met today, Monday, in Riyadh, with the Syrian President, Mr. Bashar al-Assad, on the sidelines of his participation in the joint Arab-Islamic summit, which is focused on discussing the aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.
During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, along with ways to enhance and develop them in various fields in a manner that achieves common interests and mutual benefit for the two brotherly peoples.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of coordinating positions and reaching decisive resolutions during the summit to stop the ongoing Zionist aggression against Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the need for major countries and international organizations to assume their responsibilities regarding the violations committed by the occupation forces against civilians in the occupied territories and Lebanon
