Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Iraq, Mr. Mohammed Al-Hassan, where the relations and joint programs between Iraq and the international organization were reviewed, as well as ways to proceed with them in light of the agreement to end the UNAMI mission.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the region were discussed, including the aggression against Gaza and southern Lebanon and the continuation of the genocide being perpetrated by the Zionists.
The Prime Minister praised the assistance provided by the United Nations mission to Iraq in facing challenges over the years following 2003, highlighting the turning points and difficulties the Iraqi people have gone through. He emphasized the importance of what His Eminence Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani proposed during his meeting with Mr. Al-Hassan regarding the diagnosis of Iraq's needs and the realistic visions for the aspirations of the Iraqi people, which the government has summarized in the priorities of its working program currently being implemented.
