In a new confirmation of the limited impact of the Israeli attack on Iran, government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani announced that the Israeli strikes caused limited losses.

"Show of force

For his part, Mohsen Rezaei, head of the Expediency Discernment Council and former commander of the Revolutionary Guard, confirmed that the attack was more than just a show of force." But he pointed out that it "was not impactful," as he put it

Those statements came after the Iranian air defense announced earlier today that it thwarted an attempt by Israel to attack some locations in the country, particularly on the western and southwestern borders.

While the United States urged Iranians to de-escalate, refrain from retaliation, and avoid escalation in the region, warning against slipping into a cycle of mutual responses.

She also indicated that the Israeli response was proportional and limited, within the "framework of self-defense.

It is noted that these strikes came 26 days after the exchange of threats between the two countries since the beginning of this month, when Tehran launched an attack with more than 180 missiles on Israeli military bases.

While Washington encouraged its ally to limit its response to military sites without targeting power plants, oil, or nuclear facilities, of course.

The U.S. administration has also intensified its consultations with Tel Aviv in recent days to coordinate on this Israeli response that came early this morning.
