The Paris conference raises one billion dollars to help Lebanon.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced today, Thursday, that the international conference on Lebanon in Paris raised more than 800 million dollars in humanitarian aid and 200 million dollars to support the army.
Barrow said: "We responded to the call made by the United Nations by announcing vital contributions worth $800 million, in addition to significant in-kind contributions," affirming that the international community was "up to the challenge."
About 70 government delegations and 15 international organizations met in Paris with the aim of raising at least 500 million euros in humanitarian aid and calling for a ceasefire.
The United Nations agency launched an appeal on October 1st to raise this amount in order to provide urgent assistance to hundreds of thousands of displaced people due to Israeli strikes on several Lebanese areas.
